VR Game Floating Cubes

About

Floating Cubes is an experimental VR experience built around freeform cube manipulation, allowing players to snap, detach, and rearrange magnetic cubes in a fully immersive environment. The system delivers smooth physics-driven interactions, natural magnetic behavior, and intuitive creative control. Key features include:

  • Physics-based cube interactions
  • Magnetic attachment and detachment
  • Dynamic group formation
  • Freeform manipulation
  • Optimized VR performance
Task

The objective was to create a VR interaction system where cubes behave like magnetized objects, connecting, disconnecting, and forming groups dynamically. This required handling smooth responses, simulating magnetic forces, updating cube groups as they changed shape, and ensuring performance remained seamless and glitch-free throughout all interactions.
